PERSONAL PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT
The construction industry is bound by the Personal Protective Equipment at Work Regulations 1992. This legislation dictates the duties and responsibilities of employers. It is an area that is taken extremely seriously at Kent Plant & Tools in providing quality products and services for our clients.
Within the regulations Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is defined as, 'all equipment (including clothing affording protection against the weather) which is intended to be worn or held by a person at work and which protects them against one or more risks to their health or safety'. For example, this includes safety helmets, gloves, eye protection, high visibility clothing, safety footwear and harnesses.
New PPE products reviewed
Once again our industry experience plays a key role in our approach to this crucial area. All our products are reviewed on an ongoing basis to ensure they meet the necessary standards. Similarly, any new products or developments that are relevant to our clients' needs are considered and, where necessary, introduced to existing ranges.

As part of the service we also produce customised PPE high visibility vests and clothing incorporating client colours and logos. These can be held in stock and managed as a standard product line with the same flexibility as all our other ranges.
